Also, there's something called "Trusted Installer" that supersedes Admin in Win 7, and can be a real pain when it owns the program you thought you did. Microsmurfs seem to have nothing better to do than make our lives more difficult.
General announcement: My ISP hasscrewed up my email again and claims they are having trouble upgrading their software. Sound familiar? Comcast is a bazillion dollar company and can't keep it together, so we shouldn't feel sorry for ourselves. Cetp I'm paying them for it to work!
rofl, that was the first thing i learned
I discovered I could edit lua files by clicking the "Open IME" box in Win 7. If you guys knew about this and didn't share -
If you want to get rid of the GWX files (that annoying Win 10 flag and pop up), you must open that pop up and go all the way to the bottom and click on the adjust install time line. Then just say no! Afterwards go to Windows Update and switch that update from recommended to other and then hide it. It will stay hidden for a year and then disappear.
I'm not in a mood to work with CE last time, so I haven't tried it hardly but when I took a quick look at it, everything worked same as on Win7.
@Vikom, How CE1 going on win10 ?
I've made a backup of WIn 7 and tried the 10. I feel satisfied so far. Everything stays as on older OS. Position of icons, my custom keyboard layer and I even didn't have to log in again anywhere.
there are several ways to back your win 7 up if your not sure of windows 10. i for one use mini tool partition and two docking stations. i have 4 hd with windows xp. 4 hd with windows vista and three with window 7, and two with windows 10. just install your windows on a low gb hd, and copy partitions over to a large one. if i have a problem with one, i can always make another with what i got. it is that simple. hope it helps.
It can be reverted to Win 7 within 30 days of upgrade. Have heard that it can disable pirated software and games . I,ve had no trouble with mine though easy to use, only glitch I had was scroll on touch pad stopped working and I cannot find add/remove programs
Ok, maybe I'll backup my PC for the first time ever.
You can revert it supposedly, like system backup...
I'm thinkin' about upgrading to Win 10 but I'm a little afraid of few things. Anyone have an experience with that?
I'm wondering, is there any option to come back to Win 7 if I'm not satisfied?
How to preserve fps in a map what is a city map and you can see the entire map without tinkering view distance and fog?
Short answer: I don't know.
Long answer: Possibly blocks AI vision over water, the way trees/rocks do over land.
Crytek used it in levels with a lot of water, eg Training, Fort, Boat. The one area covers the entire map.
They didn't use it in levels like Cooler, Rebellion, Treehouse where water wasn't involved as much.
I experimented, but can't see it has any obvious effect.
